Shannon Clark
Hey everyone! I’m Shannon Clark, and I’m a junior Communications major at Waldorf University with an emphasis in graphic design and journalism. But don’t be fooled; I also love radio! I’ve been with the KZOW 91.9fm team as both a Music Director a Production Director. My current position as Production Director allows me to oversee and create the commercials played on air.
While my liners/commercials are my pride and joy, you can get to know my personality through the radio show, The KC Combo. I’m fortunate enough to do the show with my good friend, and KZOW’s Station Manager, Mitchell Keeran, aka DJ Dragon. In addition to KZOW, I completed a summer internship with KICD 1240am and 98.3fm, More 104.9fm and Big County 107.7fm, which is located in my hometown, Spencer, IA.
Although my radio career has taken much of my attention, I have other activities I enjoy. I completed an internship with Healthy Harvest for graphic design my sophomore year at Waldorf. You can also find me editing for the school newspaper, The Lobbyist. Additionally, I am a part of the Warrior Women in Leadership program. Finally, I have a deep love for animals, so I am the proud president of The Pup Walkers club on campus, which I created my first year of college.
My large, loving family consists of three brothers, one sister and my dog, Sonny. My parents make up a great support system, as well. Thankfully, my family loves radio and music almost as much as I do. My taste ranges, but I mostly enjoy Top 40 and Crossover Country (with Pop). Last but not least, if you hear DJ Shark on the radio, you’ve found me and our college radio station!(:
